Rory Gleeson is a novelist, screenwriter and playwright. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Psychology, and earned further postgraduate degrees at University of East Anglia, University of Manchester, and Oxford University.  His writing has appeared in Far Off Places Magazine, The Town Crier, RTÉ Culture and The Irish Times.

His debut novel Rockadoon Shore was published by John Murray in 2017. His short film Psychic, co-funded by Screen Ireland and Sky Arts, premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2018, before its TV showing on Sky Arts in 2019.

He was appointed the 2019 Burgess Writing Fellow in Fiction at the University of Manchester.  He lives in London.
